
This work aims to study the impact of some human resources management practices on the continuous improvement of production quality in Iraqi companies, due to the limited Arab studies that focused on analyzing the relationship between human resources and production departments. The research sought to provide an intellectual and field framework that relies on the theses of researchers and writers in the areas of strategic management, human resource management, production and operations management. The statistical results on a sample represented by 210 officials in the human resources department or the production process management showed that the interest of the senior management has a positive impact on the continuous improvement of the quality of production in Iraqi companies. The statistical results on a sample consisting of an official in human resources and production showed that the support of senior management is insufficient in the continuous improvement of the quality of production in Iraqi companies. The management should lead the development of the strategy and objectives for the improvement program through appropriate communication. However, the results of field work revealed that the variable related to incentives is of moral importance in achieving continuous improvement and quality, as it contributes to the development of staff capabilities. The results of field research also confirm that the development of communications between employees has a negative impact on continuous improvement and production quality. We can conclude from here that the Iraqi companies investigated are unable to develop communications between employees.
