The role of strategic planning in crisis management: Case study in Iraqi commercial banks

Résumé

This study aims to know the role of strategic planning in crisis management for commercial banks in Iraq and whether institutions are content with strategic planning or need to manage crises as well. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach based on the questionnaire and interviews for the research sample consisting of (400) employees in Iraqi commercial banks. The researcher used the program (SPSS, Smart PLS) to analyze the data). The most notable findings of the study were that the level of strategic planning in Iraq's commercial banks is moderate and high harmony. This is due to the fact that the Iraqi environment suffers from political, economic and dynamic upheavals and the need to develop an efficient and effective plan to cope with these changes by the research banks.
