
The education sector has witnessed a fundamental transformation in teaching methods, approaches, and areas of focus. This shift is in response to global developments in the field, the explosion of knowledge, and the growth of new industries, which have led to increased investment in knowledge and scientific research. Consequently, this has maximized human resources by developing the necessary skills capable of addressing the various changes and developments in the contemporary world. As a result, many countries have adopted total quality standards in education.
The study relied on the questionnaire as a basic tool for collecting data, and it was distributed to a random sample of a group of professors and employees of the University of Baghdad. Accordingly, a final sample of (150) questionnaires was reached, valid for analysis and hypothesis testing.
The study concluded that there is a correlation and impact between the application of educational management quality standards and the performance of educational institutions at the University of Baghdad, particularly in their ability to make well-informed decisions. The emphasis on developing employees within educational institutions enhances their ability to adapt to the ever-changing challenges in both the educational and societal environments. Furthermore, this contributes to building a strong reputation for the university as an institution that provides high-quality services in accordance with the best international standards for total quality.
The researcher recommended that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research should require other educational institutions to adopt and implement total quality management standards. These standards play a critical role in improving and enhancing educational performance, as well as in creating an aware and qualified generation capable of understanding the demands of the Iraqi labor market and adapting to its changing environment.
