The role of strategic thinking skills in enhancing sustainable organizational performance : Field research in private universities and colleges in Baghdad Governorate

Résumé

The study aimed to explore and interpret the role of strategic thinking skills in enhancing sustainable organizational performance, through its application within the private education environment in Iraq, represented by the administration of private universities and colleges in Baghdad Governorate. The study problem is evident through the following main question (What is the role of strategic thinking skills in enhancing sustainable organizational performance?) Private universities and colleges in Baghdad Governorate in Iraq, which numbered (33) private universities and colleges, were selected to test the field of study through a questionnaire form that included (250) respondents from deans of colleges and their assistants and heads of scientific departments in educational organizations. One of the conclusions reached is that the strategic thinking skills of the study sample enhance the positive relationship in enhancing sustainable organizational performance of the private education sector in Iraq. One of the most important recommendations of the study is the necessity of enhancing sustainable organizational performance and adopting strategic thinking skills processes and including them in all aspects of administrative, educational and advisory work in this important sector, which is the supporting artery of government education.
