
The aim of this study is to identify the extent to which effective communication skills that applied and to identify the most influential communication skills by the faculty members of the Business & Economics College, Qassim University. This study is based on the analytical descriptive approach.
To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was developed consisting of three main dimensions. The first includes questions to measure the skill of writing among teachers while the second and third dimensions relate to oral and nonverbal communication skills of teaching faculties. The research population is composed of all students of the College of Business &Economics, Qassim University, in their various disciplines, who are enrolled in the second semester (382) of the academic year 1438/1439 AH and they are (1364) students. A random sample of 400 students was selected from all five academic departments: economics, business administration, accounting, information systems& production management and finance, and the questionnaire was distributed to them. A total of 364 questionnaires were retrieved, and four of them were not validated for analysis.
The researchers used a set of statistical methods through the SPSS program (statistical package for social sciences), furthermore, Kornbach Alpha test used to check the stability of the study instrument. Whereas the descriptive analysis was used to answer the study questions. However, the hypotheses of the study were tested through a single-variance analysis test to detect differences in the extent to which effective communication skills were applied. The most important results of the study: the existence of differences of statistical significance attributed to the student's specialization variable, and with regard to gender, the study showed that there is an indication attributed towards itand was in favor of females.
